DC97-16782A Dryer Repair Kit for Samsung Dryer, Replaces DC97-16782E, DC93-00634A, 6602-001655

I couldn’t believe that I placed the order at 9pm, and it said overnight delivery at 7-11am! Well, it was at my door in the morning. Samsung dryer started to make a very loud grinding noise, see video. I goggled for troubleshooting and repair videos, there are quite a few on Youtube. Ordered this kit and when I disassembled the dryer I immediately noticed black rubber debris and a damaged roller wheel. It wouldn’t even manually turn. I pulled it out and sure enough, the rubber wheel was totally flat on one side, and the bearing was locked. Bearing stuck to the axis, see inside photo of bearing. Make sure you take photos of the screw locations and disassembly process. It took me about 1 hour as it was my first time. But now that I know the steps, this is a 20 minute job, as I thoroughly cleaned debris, the rubber smeared drum (see last photo) and wiped dust, dirt and lint the inside including the blower fan blades. I replaced the entire set, wheels, belt, tensioner pulley, tensioner spring. Put it back together (no extra screws left) �� and tested the dryer. Works like new again. $35 dlls. Less than 24 hours since the dryer failed, it was up and running by the next day! At the end of all, I was proud to have tried. Now I also know that a motor which lists for $390 at appliance part stores is only $90 on dryerpartsdepot, and that I can change it myself if the rollers wouldn’t have been the problem.
