Abeautiful spider pendant set with a green peridot thorax, violet amethyst abdomen and two twinkling diamond eyes. The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the womens Suffrage movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes! The pendant and accompanying chain are both modelled in sterling silver and gilded in 18ct yellow gold. It’s very pretty and would make a wonderful gift.
